Chief executive officer

Mr. Vasudeva is a Chemical Engineer and brings with him over 33 years of rich experience in plastics and thermos plastic polymers. He worked extensively with global corporations and has a deep understanding of Indian, Southeast Asia and European markets.

Mr. Vasudeva started his career with GE Plastics in manufacturing and oversaw several quality improvement and productivity enhance projects. Mr. Vasudeva was introduced to technical marketing in the Netherlands which marked his journey towards Sales & Marketing and then business leadership roles. As the Global Product Manager for Polycarbonate business, Mr. Vasudeva was instrumental in introducing 5 new products supporting customers in Storage Media, Extrusion and Packaging. Mr. Vasudeva then moved to Singapore to lead Marketing for Southeast Asia, where he worked on opening new market segments and business development to deliver a 35% y-o-y growth for the business.

In his last role, Mr. Vasudeva was working as the Managing Director and CEO – India of INEOS Styrolution India Ltd which was a leading provider of styrenics solutions, catering to diverse industries with high-quality materials and innovative products.

Head Plant

Mr. Hazra holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. He is a Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM). He has more than three decades of International and Domestic experience handling Mega Ethylene Projects, Technology, Planning, Consulting, Operation, Energy & Sustainability. In his last posting, Mr. Hazra was working with ExxonMobil Chemical Operation Pvt. Ltd., Singapore, as a Technology Manager and Direction Setter for two Mega Capacity Olefins Plants. As an additional responsibility, he took charge of an Energy Manager of ExxonMobil Singapore Chemical Complex, and he was the instrument to bring the Capital funds from Singapore Government to implement many Energy Savings and Sustainability Projects.

Prior to that he has worked with KBC Advanced Technology Pte. Ltd., Singapore, Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), UK & KSA and Reliance Industries Ltd. Prior to joining SABIC, he served in Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd. for more than 8 years since detail engineering stage of HPL project. He possesses expertise in Ethylene Process Technologies like Technip/ S&W, Lummus, Linde, KBR & ExxonMobil. He has been a visiting faculty in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore teaching Chemical Engineering Simulation Course.

Company Secretary

Ms. Mitra is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and a Law Graduate. Ms. Mitra is an erudite & result-oriented professional with comprehensive knowledge, in-depth understanding and expansive exposure of over 25 years in Corporate Governance, Corporate Secretarial activities, Legal Affairs, Corporate Restructuring, Merger and Amalgamation, Corporate Vigilance & Disciplinary proceedings, SEBI & RBI Regulations.

Ms. Mitra also spreadheads the Corporate Secretarial & Legal function of all HPL’s subsidiaries. Ms. Mitra is also designated as Director of Haldia Riverside Estates Private Limited, wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. Ms. Mitra also handles the Corp. Communication for HPL and its subsidiaries.

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Kundu is a qualified Cost Accountant & MBA (Finance) and has over 35 years’ of experience in leading Finance & Commercial Functions.

Mr. Kundu has been spearheading the Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC) of HPL. Apart from FSSC, Mr. Kundu is responsible for and overseeing Marketing Finance for both Polymer and Chemicals businesses, Budgeting, Costing, MIS, Capex and Project Finance. Mr. Kundu also supervises the Payroll function and leads the Project FEISTY (Focused EBITDA Improvement through Systematic Transformation Journey) in the organization in collaboration with the cross functional teams in Plant and Corporate functions. Additionally, Mr. Kundu also oversees the Plant Finance activities and the Taxation vertical.

Mr. Kundu is presently designated as Dy. Chief Financial Officer of HPL.
